Texas’ hugely popular craft beer and music festival will be returning to Dallas on Saturday, November 7 kicking off the city’s NTX Beer Week. Taking place at Dallas’ iconic Fair Park, the Untapped Festival expands its footprint with a new location and event organizers are convinced that the new location is “well suited to accommodate the throngs of thousands of craft beer lovers that will attend Untapped Dallas 2015.”

Moving into its fourth year in the Dallas area, Untapped Festivals also take place in Houston, Austin and San Antonio.

Untapped was founded in Dallas in 2012 by Corey Pond of The Common Table & Matthew Harber, Lance Yocom and Annette Marin of Spune Productions.

"Untapped was created from a shared passion for craft beer and live music and it's such a thrill to see this idea resonate with so many people that we've been able to bring Untapped to new cities and expand on the concept tremendously,” said Festival Cofounder Matthew Harber.

The Untapped Festival began as many good ideas do with two friends sharing a passion for craft beer and live music. The idea resonated with so many people that the cofounders then spread the idea to new cities expanding on the concept.

“Untapped Festival encapsulates the eclectic craft beer culture while highlighting both emerging bands and established music acts,” said Harber.

Music acts at the Dallas Festival this year will include three stages with Festival headliners being The Flaming Lips, Dr. Dog, Cloud Nothings, Elle King, The Pharcyde, The Mowgli’s, Lights, Steve Gunn, UME and Dallas local favorites Valise and Birds of Night.

The craft brew list will feature 100 breweries and over 400 unique craft beers with around 10,000 attendees expected, which beats last year’s attendance of 9,000 at Gilley's.

“We’re passionate about craft brewing and the community of people that produce craft beer,” Harber said. “We created Untapped Festival to educate people about the hundreds of amazing craft beers brewed in the US and, in Texas in particular; and to celebrate the people that brew them.”

This year, Untapped Festival Dallas will also introduce a few new perks including a new super VIP ‘Stout Package’ giving festival-goers access to the Untapped Clubhouse, exclusive stage viewing area, and for the first time, an open bar featuring beer, wine, and spirits plus food from some of Dallas’ best purveyors including Luck, Scardello Artisan Cheese, Meddlesome Moth, East Hampton Sandwich Co. and Glazed Donut Works.

General admission tickets are $39 and more information can be found at http://untapped-festival.com/dal/

“We are proud to call Dallas our home and very fortunate to be returning for our fourth year at a new, larger venue to allow more people to celebrate and enjoy incredible beer and music in the city where it all started," Harber said.
