Volunteers will have a sparktacular time ‘treasure hunting’ along the shores of Lake Grapevine in search of sparkly jewels that are hidden in the trash. The community sponsored effort, "Trash and Treasures," includes FREE FOOD, PRIZES and FUN and will be held Saturday, Oct. 5 from 8 a.m. to noon. Volunteers meet at Trawick Pavilion, located at 2700 Darren G. Medlin Drive (inside Oak Grove Sports Complex).

The four cities around Lake Grapevine, including Grapevine, Southlake, Flower Mound and Trophy Club, are invited to come together for a shoreline clean up of Lake Grapevine. "Trash and Treasures" is a Keep Texas Beautiful event.

Volunteers can sign up online here. Sponsorships are available, and you can email mjtellin@grapevinetexas.gov for more information. Questions can be directed to the Trophy Club Parks & Recreation Department at parksandrec@trophyclub.org.

If you are interested in events and activities like this and want to play a greater role in keeping Trophy Club and Lake Grapevine beautiful, they are looking for members/volunteers to be part of our Keep Trophy Club Beautiful Subcommittee. Contact Adam Adams for more details.
